suzuki aftersales. rip off!!
 

i've owned my sk2 (52 plate)from new and have covered 19,000 miles, ive just been looking through my bikes service book and noticed that when it had its first proper service at 4,000 miles they advised me that the brake pads were over half warn and suggested that i should concider getting them replaced. at the time i was suprised and wondered what i had let myself in for owning a bike. i carried on riding it regardless and just kept an eye on them. i cleaned the bike this past weekend and checked the pad thickness (of the original pads) and its still a couple of mm away from the wear indicator marks. imagine how much money this dealer is making from cautious bikers who just want to be on the safe side.

Hence the maxim "Dealers are stealers". Doesn't apply to all of them of course (Mrs J, please take note again) but far too many for comfort.
