are you going to get it set up for the new bits?? i would recomend it... otherwise, you'll be running lean...

What exactly needs adjusting?

AFAIK, since the engine management system would take in consideration the differing air pressures caused by airkit mods what else can be done - besides fitting a power commander?

sorry, i could have been talking out of my little rear end... didn't notice it was a K3, really should have looked. I don't really wake up til 9am at the earliest....

You should get the FI remapped. Basically the same thing as the power commander but not quite as refined.

To get the FI remapped you need to find a dealer with a Yoshi box (I think that's what they're called)

No idea who does them near Hull though, sorry.

I got the same setup for mine about 1 1/2 years ago. The sound when you give it trottle is wonderful. I hade my remapped at the local dealer and it was running way to lean before. I gave a nice power increase and i think you should espect around 74hp on the rear wheel after remapping.

I had mine remapped after I fitted a Scorpion can and K&N filter (as well as doing the TRE & TPS mods).

I had a 5bhp increase in power (before & after remap) as well as a general increase throughout the whole rev range, as well as a slightly smoother power curve.

It made a huge difference to the way the bike rode and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

All for £50-odd!!

One point to note... I took out the TRE mod as I was taking the bike in for the possibility of some warranty work & the power seemed to take a massive knock! Where the tyre would spin up with it in, it would't without it and Ian was pulling away from me on his stock naked K3 where I would have been streaming off into the sunset! I don't think it was anything to do with the TRE making that much difference - more that the remap needs to be done once you have done all of the tuning work you intend to do and to expect a fair loss if you change anything!
