Bridgestone BT014's

My local tyre fitter has given my a quote on a set of Bridgestone BT014's. Apparantly these are replacing the BT010's which I have at the moment.

A BT010 for the front has already been fazed out by the BT014.

I got a quote of £190 for the pair. That includes taking the wheels off and re fitting and balancing.

Good deal?

Anyone had any experience with these new Bridgestones?

heard good and bad, If your coming friday speak to billymac, He had some...

£190 sounds good for them tho, where from ?

The quote came from Motorcycle Tyres UK in Harold Wood. I think bikeage posted on here that they were pretty good.

I can vouch for how excellent these tyres are. Drop us a P.M. If ya want specifics.

Have a look it tyres section at Sid Squid's review.... I'm torn between them and Z6, think it'll be whichever I get best price on the day

Ace tyres, absolutely love them and unless somebody can prove that something else is better I won't be changing. Great grip (wet and dry) and excellent feedback.

The BT014 is the standard fitment for all new GSXR models (not Hayabusa), and CBR600/1000RR machines, make from that what you will.....

What sort of miles do you reckon I should get from them?

I get about 4500 on a rear, about 6000 on the front, but due to all the commuting I do they do flatten off quite quickly as they are shaped for sports riding. That's on my GSXR600.

They are nice and sticky, I've got in from a Sunday blast and they have actually been tacky to touch... Very confidence inspiring.
