Gasket removal / Fitting
Hi,
I've been attempting to fix a water pump leak on my SV so removed the inner clutch cover. After ruining the chocolate water pump bolts - drilling them out - re-threading the hole - still knackered - hole's getting bigger - nope it's beyond repair - £178 for a new one (still in  ) - I need to replace the gasket. I scraped off the old gasket with a knife with some difficulty. I then used wet/dry to carefully remove the remnants. Assuming it's a nice clean and flat surface, can I just plonk the new gasket on then bolt the cover back on? Do I need some sealant or anything? Plus, is it normal to get brake fluid bl**dy everywhere when you're bleeding brakes? :? Many thanks, JG |

Apparently so, but OK if you're well ventilated, and don't drink any
It doesn't go that well with pairs of jeans either. |
