Chicken strips?

What the hell are chicken strips when refering to a bike?

it's the shiny bit on the outer edges of your tyres where you haven't leaned the bike over enough to wear them down. It a measure of lean.

In that case my bike has them, big fat chicken strips!

Not to worry. Don't be tempted to get rid of them all today though as the shiny bit can bit less grippy so you need to be smooth and gradual - that's if you want to get them reduced, some people are really bothered by them but I think most riders don't even look.

Redeye....removal of chicken strips, knee down to ground, wheelies, stoppies and burn outs have no real relevance in the real world of biking. There are those that will disagree but being able to achieve any of the above does not I believe make you any more competant a rider. 8)

If you really want to get ri of them, there is a sure fire way, regardless of tyre profile..............................Get a kitchen scouring pad - the green one and rub away

take it on a track day - that'll get rid of them too, maybe get you're knee down (not essential) and put a big grin on your face. :D
