Peg down!
I have been trying to get my knee down recently but no joy. So i went out yesterday and got my **** off the seat, knee out and the peg went down(great feeling!) but no knee? What am i doing wrong? The other strange thing is i still have bout 8mm chicken strips. (sportec m-1 tires)
Any tips please. |
I can't help with getting ya knee down, but I know what ya mean, I have scraped the pegs and still have chicken strips... :?

If you can scrape your peg then you can get your knee down. It's just down to body positioning.

Chicken strip width depends a lot on the tyre. I've tried my best and on my Diablos there's still about 5-7mm of strip. On this particular grippy-twisty road I'm "training" I still don't dare to get the bike to the "twilight zone" of grip though, so I guess it's possible to erase it completely. On the rear the strip is a humongous 15mm, whereas on my older Bridgestone BT92's I could completely erase the rear strip just by going mid-tempo.

ive got about 3mm of chicken strip left,, but i dare not try and get rid of it on a public road.
id much rather do it on a track. |
