First Service
I have my bike booked in for it's 600 mile first service this saturday. Thing is, right now my bike is reading 636 miles. I use my bike to commute to work (6 miles) and really don't want to stop using it because it has gone over 600 miles but I need to know if this will cause a problem with my dealer when it comes to him stamping my warranty book.

It should be fine :)

Mine was at 800ish when it had it's first service. They shouldn't bat an eyelid about the mileage, so long as it's not over 1000 or something. They write it in the book, anyway, so the stamp just means that the service was done by them.

800

It will be fine, mine's been over every time. I don't book it until it's reached the target, then it's normally a week to a fortnight later before they have a slot available.

What a coincidence, mines got 630 something on it and its booked in for Friday.
I did have some concerns about going over the 600 but a trip to watch the Cookstown 100 road races last Saturday put an end to that. The bike will have about 675 on it as the dealer is about 35+ miles away. A bit extra is not really an issue. |
