One would add ~2.3Q (2300ML) when changing the oil alone, or ~2.9Q, (2700ML) when changing oil and filter.

(Edit, conversion woes...)

Erm, the workshop manual statest the following for a fuel injected bike:

Oil Change: 2300ml
Oil & Filter Change: 2700ml
Overhaul: 3100ml

For a carb'd bike you'd need:

Oil Change: 2300ml
Oil & Filter Change: 2400ml
Overhaul: 2700ml

Could you clarify what you meant by "overhaul"? Just want to be clear.

I think that denotes a full engine strip-down & rebuild

Yup. It means you effectiively take every bit of the engine apart and there is no oil left in the system afterwards.
