:D Your right about the quicker turn in, trying to get used to it, feel's like a differant bike now,
I used 6mm mild steel. Cloggsy came by before to compare height differance, (He's got a Gixxer thou Shocker on, so his is heigher than stock) the shadow of the tyre and the height of the wing mirrors are the same to guage the Height differance http://www.thebikereview.com/iup/get8.asp?ID=368 Look's good..... ME thinkx p.s. mine is the one on the left.. |

:D Via PM..
I wrote:- I belive you race the sv, can you please tell me If the dog bones are that shape for a specific reasion. looking at the before and after photo's in Home made Doge bones I'm just wondering if the bottom of the shock might Hit the side of the dog bone.... Mike1234 Write :- The god bones are thinner in the middle for two reason, one to save weight and two to give a bit more clearance at the extremes of any shock movement. Might be worth filing them down in the area where they might hit or just get someone to bounce up and down on the thing and see how close you get. In theory, with well set up suspension you shouldn't really have a problem but that looks like a standard shock so I'd advise you to be on the safe side if you can. Mike After 200 miles I'd looked at them and there's no sign of wear or hitting the shocker spring. all in all a good MOD. |
what thickness steel did you use?
