query on connecting new intercom to tail light circuit

I've just bought a Starcom1 intercom ready for next weekend, and am about to install the main unit under the pillion seat (SV650SK3). It is recommended to connect its two-wire power supply to the tail light circuit. There are, though, three tail light wires from which to choose - one presumably being for the brake light. There is a grey, a white with black trace, and a black with white trace. Can anyone advise me which two of these I should attach to, as I don't want to b*gg*r anything up . Thanks, boys and girls.

why? the star com unlike the Autocom switches off when you disconnect the first headset.

I have mine perm connected to the battery, with an inline fuse. So you could use it when the bike is off.

IIRC, you will need to connect one to the grey and one directly to the -ve on the battery - that is what I did with my Autocom
