Cleaning leather...

OK Got a problem with the new gloves. Went for a walk at lunch and had myjacket and new gloves on to try and get the gloves a little more comfortable (gotta say it's working). However got to say I found a bit of a problem...

Someone asked if my leathers used to be the same colour (they did). It looks slightly odd seeing read and white nice and bright on the gloves, and then dirty red and white of the leathers. Any idea how to get the leathers a least slightly cleaner? Used the Dianesse cleaner and leather creme but it doesn't seem to do that much :(

Either that or chuck the kit in a bath of luke warm water & wash with baby shampoo - good stuff... You obviously have to dry the kit out thouroughly afterwards, so hang it up in the garage for a day or two afterwards ;)

I went to a local furniture restorer and bought some leather cleaner/replenisher - did OK too, not perfect on the whites but the colours cames up well. Took ages though

Thought about that - but what if the leather shrinks before I can get it off... That could hurt in quite a personal place :)
