Thunder! And lightening! Very frightening!

Well... here in Central London, several hours late, the BBC's forecast has just caught up with us!

Will be crawling to Soho shortly!

It started just as I stepped out of the office and is just stopping now I've got home. That has to be some of the worst weather I've ever ridden in. The thunder & lightening weren't too bad, it was the wind and the rain that were the problems. There's a lot of flooding on the road and branches have been blown off trees across roads, so be very careful if you're going to ride tonight. The North Circular in Ealing was held up whilst drivers and truckers cleared massive branches from the road.

I didn't have waterproofs so am soaked to the skin. There seemed to be a lot of bikes out there. I passed a posse of Harleys, apparently led by a Speed Triple, and also passed a BSA and later followed a Norton Command and an old (70's) Triumph Bonneville. I was really glad that I was on a modern bike with really good tyres.

How is the leg doing?

Mr Toad 03-06-05 05:29 PM

The leg is doing fine - 103 staples (stitches) were needed to hold it together

Bum is getting better as well - Damn the French

PM or e-mail your address at some point, didn't manage to visit you while you were in hospital over here. That would be 2 people that I have to make house calls on
