Anodised bolts for the SV...

For non-stress application (need titanium for those). I'm trying to get him down to £30. Would anybody else be interested if I can secure at this price?

I've got some of the Pro-bolts stuff on my bike, they're alright...

Presume the only stuff not to use them on is around the frame/engine ?

I've used their engine bolts set for about a year now and it seems to work fine, though I can see the argument against... But yeah, anything that takes any stress like, for instance, footrest hangers, brake caliper bolts, things like that is well out. And you do need to handle the botls with care since they're much softer than steel and very easy to round the heads off (I killed the ones that held my chainguard on when I changed to stainless.

On the '00s or similiar with the black engine, black engine bolts is a nice look I think- the stainless bolts on black always looked too much like studs to me :) Other than that I've pretty much gone over to stainless everywhere

Wouldn't mind a set of the blue anodised ones if you can knock him down. Not till next pay-day though, Bloody skint :roll:

If he does it for £30 (when mention sv650.org) will the sv650.org owners add him to the list of 'recommended' deals?

The trouble with them apart from all the obvious posted above is you receive 100 parts but you end up with 80 that just will not fit anywhere so you cant finish the bike off.

Very true... But then again, they're easy to cut down to fit if it comes to that. I used one of Chewy's bolt kits to do a lot of mine, but it doesn't quite cover everything so I picked up a big bag of stainless bolts off Ebay to finish the job, lovely. Left the black anodised engine bolts on though :)

I paid the wee bit extra for the specced-out kits, fairing and engine, and they were perfectly specced and worked really nicely. The job lots are cheaper but as Chewy says you pay a price for that.

Are stainless bolts the chrome type ones?
