help for bike viewing

Hi everyone

a couple of people said that they might be able to come along with me to look at a bike if I'd arranged a viewing.

I've seen a 2nd hand SV that looks pretty good that I might pop along to view. anyone fancy coming along to ride it for me (I won't be insured), and give me an opinion as to whether it's worth buying? :P

It probably be in the evening do to work commitments, and can understand that it's a pain in the backside to trek about after finishing work, but it would be appreciated, and I'm sure we could arrange a few beers for one of the meets...

I'm in chelmsford, so if there's anyone that fancies it, let me know

oh yeah - I'll probably try to arrange it for this week, although raelly it depends on when whether people with a bit more know-how can come with me (I'll drive though, clearly)

hi seth

would you be able to ride it, etc? I have no insurance, and as long as it's all in good working order, it should be the same as the SV I test rode at John Pease (assuming that was in good working order, eh

where abouts do you live? chelmsford, or near here?

i'd drive to london to look at it

east hanningfield to be exact

and no I'm only insured to ride my bike...

right,

I'm in Chelmer Village, which isn't far from you.

I'll have to email the guy and see when he's about, then we can see if it fits in with me and yourself..

is there any way I can get insured for the day to ride the bike? I spose I'd need all the details (reg etc) which I don't have....?

do you know of anyone like the AA, who you can pay £20odd to go there as well to have a look? that'd be handy.. i think I'll probably be saving a fair bit by buying 2nd hand (especially private), but don't want it to end badly, i.e. with me completely screwed out of 3 1/2 grand

I've still not had a reply from the guy Re: his SV.

I've got his numder, so will try calling/texting him today... I down in brighton this weekend, so I don't even know if he'll be about before then to let me have a look.

you still up for it though, if I can sort something out? I'll try to jump on here again later, but prob wo't be able to til about 6ish.
