New scorpion end can fitted to K5....

wah hey back from bushys beer tent at the TT and first job was to fit new exhaust.

Cut through the pipe with hacksaw (4 blades!!!) and fitted everything. Sounds the mutts nutts, although it seems too stick out a bit too much.

Could I have been sent the wrong link pipe?

Has anyone fitted one of these to a K5? should the link pipe bolt to the outside of the footpeg or the inside?

cheers peeps!

Hi,

Not sure how much these pictures will help, but I had the same can fitted last week.

The last one is an overhead view of the can and connecting pipe. This was fitted by my Suzuki dealer. If you want any more photo's for reference then let me know.

Sound good don't they. :-)

u need to twist the pipe and the can around- a small change at the link end makes a wide diff to the distance the can is from the bike...a little wash up liquid inside the link pipe and then just twist it around is axis

thanks for the info, I will loosen everything tonight and give it a twist, heres how it looks at the moment!!

Hi

I understood from Seastar that the K5 needed a different link pipe. Hence why I have not ordered one yet.

They may have been telling porkies though.

mmm, well I ordered it from Seastar and they said this would fit the K5...part number SI75SEO....

Just noted that scorpion do one for a K4 which is different.

I was sent

Suzuki - SI 75 - SV650 03-

But noticed on Scorpion site they do ;

Suzuki - SI 84 - SV650 K4S

Blindy or any one with a K4 bike please could you confirm the part number you we're sent?

Many Thanks Guys

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the K4 and K5 have a slightly lower subframe than the K3, the subframe has a tiny bend in it if you look closely at the back of your bike or see the k4 below:

http://www.zen19850.zen.co.uk/pics/S...%20Can%203.JPG

so you have probably been sent the wrong one.

K4 and K5 are the same in terms of exhaust fitment. K3 is different
