Pre-load adjusters on a 2000 model

I have a 2000 model SV without the front pre-load adjusers. Can I go to my local dealer and order some from the later years? What parts will I need? I do know that JHS do a pre-load kit for about £70 all in.

Just the preload top caps. I think the JHS kit comes with new length spacers etc. I run the top caps on std spacers. They are a pain to on as the normal spacer are too long, but worth it me thinks.

just get the top caps for now

You need the caps and the washer,

As the spacers are now too long. you need to cut 13mm off them.

Do it at the same time as you change your springs/oil

Cost about £48 from Slingers for mine

JHS do a kit including the springs and adjuster caps for those of us with non-adjustable curvey's. Think I'll go for this option myself as I've not got round to the front suspenders yet.

http://www.jhsracing.co.uk/start.htm , chose the '99 to '02 range, and then the suspension/steering page. Nice site of theirs.
