Too much oil. how come?

i changed the oil and the filter by myself. did about 350 miles. after got some trouble with the gear changing...noisy changes, hard to change...
checked the oil lever and it was near the F sign. when i change it, the oil lever was ok. how it could happen?

help:)

The oil should be on the "F" mark with the bike level and vertical. Can you clarify the symptoms?

Marius 21-06-05 09:01 PM

you right, the bike is vertical and stands on the wheels in level. by the manual, oil level should be in the middle of the glass window?

i put aral semi synthetic oil...does that make sense?

thanx

nothing to do with the help part but i always use fully synthetic ... i think

Anywhere between the marks will do, I keep mine at the full mark. Type of oil will not affect the level. Is the oil the correct spec?

Did you measure out the 2.8 lites(or whatever it is) first below pouring it in?

If so there is no chance all the oil will have come out, and you might have over filled. :?

Marius 22-06-05 08:43 PM

I pour around 2,7 litres into. now the oil level is a bit below F...i would say i was stressing about it too much...:)

will hit the road tomorrow:) and text ya the news
