How much do you think I'll get?

Hello everyone

Unfortunately I've had to make a difficult decision about my finances and I’ve decided to sell my bike. . Now I’ve made the decision, I need some advice on how much you think its worth.

It’s a 2001 (Y reg) Japanese import. The clock reads 45000. It was converted to miles when it read 35370 km which is 22096 miles. So add to that the miles that I’ve put on it and it gives a total of 31762 miles. Custom paint, full race system from Kenz Sports (http://www.kenz-pro.com/english/index.html), rear sets, Scott oiler and a Thatcham approved alarm.

Parkers give the following prices…

Independent Dealer £ 3070
Private Good £ 2845
Private Poor £ 2185
Part Exchange £ 2615

Right that’s enough typing, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Unfortunately not as much as you hope :?
Been trying to sell mine for a while now and as soon as I mention 27,000 miles suddenly no-one's interested :?
Forget the book prices and look around at other sv's and try and pitch yours around that. Unfortunately lots of expensive extras don't mean a greater value. You might find that you get more money by putting the bike back to standard and selling the extras on ebay.

Nice bike. Good luck.

Blown bulb??

The bike is an import and has a high mileage and unfortunatly you wont get the sort of price the book states. However it is a sweet looking bike and that should help

I guess you are about to experience the flip side of buying a parallel/grey import. Cheaper at the front end and also you got to expect similar difference when you come to sell. The mileage is not going to help either.
She is certainly sweet looking though and if someone is looking for a bargain Sv, maybe yours could be just the thing? other than that do a trade in and get out of there quick! :? 8)
