M4 Exhaust

Hey Guys,

im just about to go into my first service and was thinking about getting a new exhaust system on my bike, something that might annoy the neihbours a bit but sounds better than the standard on my K5 SV650S, Steve Jorden motorcycles said they would put the M4 Full system on, but i havent seen anything about them.

1. do they look any good?
2. do they sound good
3. what difference will it make for me (im a newbie biker)
4. will it effect my insurance?

cheers

Ben

He doesn't have a full system, though.
Rictus certainly has some experience with M4 systems, if i remember correctly.
If it's a road legal system then your insurance should be fine with it, but if you want the system covered then you may need to change companies.

Probably one of the best for the SV. Topcat had a full M4 system on his curvy one a couple of years ago. Good power gain, good build quality, not over loud but very distinctive.

I have one and certainly think so, what type of mount are you getting and what type of can? See examples of the options on thier webpage here http://www.m4exhaust.com/products/flash/M4_Exhaust.html

IMO yes, they are a good loud deep growl without being too loud. I'm a yank so can't say how it compares to the noise restricted cans so many of you seem to be stuck with. You may also take note that these wonderful pipes are made in Texas

not much, but you will sound cooler 8) dyno charts are availible on the webpage linked above. I have only the slip on, desnorkled with a ttechlusion tfi unit, the difference in power is noticable especially in the midrange, but nothing amazing.
