Is this a good buy???

Wow it looks lovely the best  :p

Frotn and rear? Yeah, pretty good I'd say. i've got one of their rear stands and it's not great- works perfectly well but it's not the sturdiest. Still, for the money it's a bargain.
Don't really see the point of those front stands, since you can't use them to do half the jobs you'd want a front stand for. But at the price, it might be worth having. |
Knowing M & P you'll get only one stand at a time, they may not be complete, any outstanding part of the order may arrive after you've sold the bike.....

I bought the rear one from them last year. It's ok, like Northy says, but not the sturdiest bit of kit.
If you actually ever need to lift both ends then get an NWS or ABBA stand. Much more stable and you can actually do almost all of the stuff you could want to do. |
If you are to get a front stand, get one that goes under the yoke. That way you can get your dodgy forks off to put decent springs in etc..
However, at that price you can't go wrong. Front stand is only good enough to put bike in the air whilst you clean front wheel or fettle brakes etc. ie better than nothing. But when you need to do real front end work it will be of no use. |
He can borrow my Abba when he needs to do that :)

looks a good price to me, i thourght you would pay that just for the back one.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. May well go for em.
Northy. thanks for the offer. I'll bear that in mind. Cheers  |
