Its gotta go so....

I've had a browse on autotrader and in the for sale section on this site but i still don't really know what to advertise it for.

Its a SVS K3 on a 53 plate, 6800 miles, fenda extenda and a scorpion exhaust, other than that its standard, runs fine as well. The problem is that its got a scrape on the front fairing which runs across the left side front light. Apparantly the fairing could be repaired but i don't think you can fix the scratch on the light. Other than that its a pretty clean bike.

I was thinking about 3k due to the fairing, is this about right or too expensive/cheap?

Need to cross to the other side and get a motard as the sv hurts my back and wrists too much commuting.

Cheers

Why not just convert it to the same style of bars as a supermoto ??

Just trim the fairing back a fraction & add renthal bars ??

Because i want the whole supermoto thing. I had a go on an unfaired SV to try it and then a ride on a CCM. Loved every minute on the CCM, so much fun for the riding i do, 90% of it is commuting in from clapham. Also i ride a lot of downhill mountainbikes and the position of the bike ties more in with that.

3k is probably fine though expect to get £2800 at worst I suggest.

Great, thanks, just didn't want to waste £30 on an autotrader add if i was harbouring dreams of a non depreciating bike.

Cheers

Beware - a supermoto is a great TOY - but to live with one day in & day out is another matter.

I had an KTM LC4 for a year, after that I was bored sensless (& it wasn't my only bike either). The constant expense of replacing tyres & the constant hassle of tensioning spokes all took it's toll on me.

Sorry to sound like a 'grown-up' but please think carefully if it's gonna be your sole form of (bike) transport !!
