WHAT GRADE FORK OIL ???

AS PER TITLE

I'm a 10 stone runt and lauras (GF - Regular pillion) is about 9 1/2 stone. The forks are going in to be re sealed and oil changed 2moro and i just wondered what would be best to put in it. I don't want it to dive live a dying swan but i don't want it to break my jewels every time i brake either   .
any help appreciated

Opinions vary, but as a general rule you should be aiming for a weight to match the strength of the springs. Std is a little under 10w, so if you have std springs, then 10w would be a good bet. If you want more damping go to a heavier weight, for less  go lighter

Personally I'm of the opinion that there's no magic numbers, since there's an element of personal preference. I ran 15W in mine and that was a little heavy when cold, and I'm 10 stone with wet hair. If i'd kept the stock forks I would have tried 12.5W next.
