thats a very good thread...may purchase some when i need them... anyone know how they will compare to bt90's though?
i know asking tyre opinions may start long debate...im interested to know though..although feel free to laugh again if you want ;) cheers Andy |
I doubt you'll find anyone else here who's experienced BT90/92's on a ZXR250 before, let alone anything else.
Not to mention that this is an SV site, and that if Bridgestones are used they tend to be either the BT010 or 020, or both. |
I'm using Road Attacks on my Aprilia Falco, previously used old Conti-Force tyres and they were crap! But cheap crap! The Road Attacks are also cheap (£170 fitted to the bike) but they do come recommended by several sources, namely magazines, and a maniac I followed round the TT course on a GSXR1000.
The problem with tyres is how do you feel about them, if you believe that the tyres are good, then you will push harder, if you are unsure, you will back off and tell people they are crap! The Road Attacks are, in my opinion, a good tyre because 1) they are cheap, 2) they last forever and 3) they give a level of grip consistent with my ability. In my opinion they are as good as the BT020 but lack the grip of a BT010, they will outlast a BT014 but don't give as good grip. If you want a grippy tyre with long life have a look at Avon Vipers, a supersports tyre with the longevity of a touring tyre (according to Avon) Seen them advertised at £175 a pair fitted to loose wheels. |
hmm something else to considerthere...
as for bt90's lots of people use the sv650 as their first big bike after rs125's and the like sop may have had bt's fitted to them...i just want impressions of tyres and comparisons and the bike isnt the most important thing...(although please no one say this cruiser tyre is good :p) cheers andy |
