Mooted Triumph SV650 sized triple
It seems that Triumph will bin their I4 motors and stick with Triples and Twins throughout the range. I guess the interesting part of this is that there is supposed to be a 680cc triple being bunged into a lean and mean replacement for the Speed Four, could be a fine rival for the SV650. If it captures the character of the Speed Triples motor it would be a very appealing device indeed. That said I don't like the bobtail type styling of the new Triple, old model seemed more cohesively styled. Anyone got some firmer insight on this or even a picture?

Triumphs just look plain ugly to me. Can't stand the bug eyed headlights.

True the headlights are IMO slightly too big, but the bikes look gorgeous. If you think they're ugly you've got no soul.

Hang on get it right first... what models?
The T595 is very, very similar to the SV headlights... I don't like unfaired bikes like the Speed Four, Speed Triple, . . I wont even go into the Cruiser range lol where these bikes have single/double headlights. |
mmmh speed triple...

I would love a 680 triple Speed Four replacement, if I didn't already own a new Speed Triple!

If the 680 does end up looking like the spy photos and projections make out, then yep, it'll look quite a bit like a 636. Which is good :) I'll be having a crack on one, once they're available...
And it'd make sense for them to make a baby speed triple once the new engine's in full production, but neither bike'll be cometing directly with the SV IMO- both would be targeted a good bit further up the ladder. |
