What crash bungs - SV650s K2 with fairing lowers
Hi All
I'm doing my first track day at Silverstone on Aug 31st and want to know what crash bungs exist out there for my K2 with fairing lowers which do NOT require fairing cutting. Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks! |
u gotta go with the new R and G aint ya !!!! 70 quid!..
have a new bracket now...like a cross memeber so that you dont need to trim yer lowers..... |

I unfortunatly tested them recently ....... and they do work. |
Thanks Guys but, according to the R&G website, http://www.rg-racing.com/crash-prote...e-sliders.html they don't do them for K2 full-faired bikes. Is the site out of date? Or is there an additional widget that I need to order? (you mention a new bracket that they produce)
**EDIT** Think I've just answered my own question as the "instructions page" implies everything comes in the box Guess I'll call them tomorrow and check it out..... |
I have a full faired K2 and the R&G's slotted on a treat. They are quite long though - I reckon you could even do stand-up stunts on them! 8)

Having returned to my crash scene today to look for missing bits, I'm far more impressed with the new R&Gs than I was at first- I would have said it slid only a few meters but the indicator was 15, 20 metres down the road from the last bit of bike. Considering that, and the force of the landing, I'm well impressed. I doubt the old ones would have done so well...
Still as ugly as sin though! |
Has anyone get a picture of the new shaped bolted to a full faired curvy? I know they're sensible but i really don't want to ruin the line of her...

Thanks All
Ordered me some R&Gs this morning..... Are they easy to fit by a mechanical novice? |
Yes, they are simple. But long bolt that goes through the engine and frame is VERY tight.
Might br helpful to give the four bolt that need removing a spray with WD40 once a day a few days before fitting. |
