Snake,Cat & Widdle,Matlock
 

Mentioned this to bbc the other day and guess im just dreaming of them nice roads while the weathers poo :( but who fancies a ride down Snake Pass,through Edale (Amandas favourite :lol:) do the buxton to macclsfield road and down the Cat & Fiddle. Then along to Matlock if people feel upto it :D

Im thinking 6/7th August for this. Anybody up for it?

Nah, I hate that road. Too many coppers and scam vans.

How bad is it down there? I dont go down there half as much as I should but the 3or4 times ive been down the Cat I havent seen much fuzz

I have can n plate on that cud be stopped for - never been done !!

I mean its the ride with the droup a brew and a chat innit as much as tear arsin around at 80mph !!!..hey 50 is fine fer my standard ofriding anyway !

You live in Congleton? Blimey, with such a short A34 journey - why haven't we met yet either?!

the cops will only tug you if you go tto fast, if you ride reasonably your ok, ive been up on a weekend this summer and theres plenty of cops but at least you know theeyre there, its not like theyre hiding in the bushes..

even at legalish speeds the roads still fantastic.

Me and the lads did most of that run on Saturday. Snake, Bamford, Castleton, Chapel, Long Hill and the Cat, then back home through Prestbury and A34. Got pulled on the Snake just before the Turn for Bamford where limit drops to 50. Fortunately got flashed by a car just before so slowed but still got pulled for a bike check. Might do Cat and Long Hill both ways tomorrow night if anybody fancies it :?:
