Riding Pants...

Hey,

After seeing my buddy go down, want even better riding pants. I have Icon Recon pants but they are just a more protective blue jean. I originally wanted some leather pants that could zip into my Teknic Violator jacket, but don't think I will find any. I think I will need something small like a size 30. So, I have thought to look elsewhere at invest in some textile pants. Any suggestions? How are they supposed to fit? :? Do you wear jeans underneath them? Or just your undies? ;) Fill me in on riding pants. I will land in a city on the awy home and have a efw options for motorcycle shops, so would like to get them then, which is as soon as possible. OK time to get off the resorts public computer.

Leathers should be reasonably close fitting so that they do not bunch in the event of an off, but not so tight that they restrict movement. You just wear your undercrackers underneath.

I tend to wear textile trousers, they come wiv removable thermal linings for winter, good ones are waterproof and cooler in summer than leather, they also have armour in them, usually in the knees and hip areas. you can wear them over trousers if u want .

I opt for a pair of jersey boxers in 100% cotton as they 'breathe' and allow a reasonable amount (but not too much) of movement.

They have very limited protection qualities so I always wear a set of leather jeans on top.

Same here.

I tend to wear either a tshirt or Tshirt and jumper under my jacket depending on the season. Unless i'm off to work then i wear my shirt and tie under it.

In the depths of winter i have a light XL jacket to go over my leather jacket to keep the wind out and wear long johns under my trousers.

Leathers. If it's a bit cold then I wear running tights underneath as well as me boxies.

Nice in Montana, Mitch????

:D Just got back from Hein Gericke in Darlington and bought a new Jacket and Trousers, tripple lined and 100% waterproof with all the armour protection, + breathable with removeable lining (in both)
and the best part of all, It's got reflective bits + lines so blind cage driver can see me illuminated @ night...Hopefully

Hein Gericke's good gear.

Just my Y-fronts under the leathers - no room for anything else (not really room for me if I'm honest). That's the way I was advised to buy them. If the leather's loose, it can ruck up and abrade more in a slide.
