Lowering an SVS...

Contemplating getting dog bones to lower the bike a bit. I don't ride that hard in the corners since only places to do that here are around 130 miles away so leaning clearance shouldn't be an issue.
If I do this, how hard/easy is it to lower the front? Would I just need to loosen up the triples and push the forks up the same amount that the rear was lowered?
Anything negative about lowering the bike other than what I previously stated?

This would be more for looks, and not for rider height issues (I am 6'1").

Or am I just stupid and lowering for looks would be a dumb idea?

If I was you I'd start with getting the seat cut down, I've got a inch out of mine and it made loads of difference. I know mines the older model but the seats are about the same. It even made it more easy on the bum, you can probably find a pre-cut one if you look around hard enough.

Only thing is I don't need it lowered do to lack of height, so I don't know how cutting the seat down would help ;)

why do you want to lower the bike so much then? As it will in someways change how the bike handles.

I thought most dog bones would lower the rear 1"-2"?
I just think it would look better a little lower

 it is, it is, and it's pretty dumb. Especially all the slammed 4x4 trucks going around, but don't get me started lol .

I'm just thinking an inch or two would look pretty nice, and if all it took was a set of dog bones and moving the forks up.........but then I look at the picture under my username and the height look fine.
