preferred reading material?

for those who care to gain knowledge and enlightenment:-

derek brown - the Da Vinci code
Martin Lune - Da Vinci code decoded
Stephen Knight - The Brotherhood
Laurence Gardner - Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark

i may be square but i,m on the level..........eh mac?

I could add a couple of extras there, going along with the more general enlightenment topic rather then a more specific grail-esque agenda. Those seeking enlightenment should start with:

A. J Ayer. - The Problem of Knowledge
Bertrand Russell - The Problems of Philosophy
Nietzsche - Beyond Good and Evil (for the comedy value you understand)
Plato - Republic
Milton - Paradise Lost (Shamefully I have never read it)
Germain Greer - The Whole Woman
Susan Ferrier - Marriage
and most importantly
Garfield Pocket Book no.2 - Why do you hate mondays?

If there is a single facet of human understanding missed in those texts, then piant my **** green and call me bob.
