Fitting a fender extender

Got myself a Pyramid one it has 3 sticky bits and 3 screws.

But I've seen them on SVs with a different type of fitting like staples so it won't come off.

Anyone know where to get the best bits to fit it securely and any tips on fitting?

There is a post on there somewhere, sorry I am not very good with the search thingy.

I'd try and do it with the fender off the bike rather than risk drilling your tyres.

Check the points of the screws are clear of the tyre once it's on.

Tart's tip: If you get a touch up stick for your bodywork colour, you can paint the screw heads once they're in place for a nice look.

Good luck!

Fitted it looks good on a black/red SV.

Put a small sheet of metal between the fender and tyre when you drill.....no need to take the fender off

I took it off.

The 4 screws that come with it only stick out a bit and don't go anywhere near the tyre at all.

The standard dunlops are so hard you'd need more than a drill to damage them...

bit of wood between tyre and mudguard or a steady hand is fine
