Additional riding light on your bike

I hate riding at night, mainly due to the reduced vision, now I was thinking about getting some extra lighting fitted. But what? Can anyone recomend any thing? I've tried to look it up on google but I think I might not be using the right word search.

You could always get one of those 'cool' neon lights to light up the underside of your bike?!!

(Hope you detect the sarcasm in this post!)

Yes.. and I did mean see where I'm going.. not where I'm parked with a blue hint.... I'm sure Fraser would just love that...

He he

How about brighter bulbs? I noticed that my lights on my SV were dramatically dimmer than other SV's.
