Nail in the Tyre again.
Hi ,
Riding to work today when suddenly as I slow down to the traffic light I start feeling a little 'bumpy' . Turns out I have a bent nail sticking out me back tyre. This one was kinda in at an angle but only stuck in a bit , so I had to pull it out . My tire seemed fine ,so I continued to work at a slow speed - I have also just checked the tire and still seems fine. Guess the question is this , if the nail had punctured through , would the tire go flat straight away - or can you get slow punctures on bike tyres. I plan to check the pressure when I get home and for the next few days but would prefere not to have to change the tyre if possible. Any advice would be great! |
Why not just fill it with Ultraseal just to be safe and make sure you've repaired the puncture? Ultraseal in the tyre will also be very handy if you end up with another nail in the tyre as well.

Ah ignorance on my behalf  never heard of Ultraseal - googled it and it looks like its what I need - will pop down to Hein Gericke tomorrow morning to get some - thanks for the tip :D
