wanna tart up my sv
 
been owner of my sv 2000 in yellow fo ra year not fave colour but price was right + new the owner he was sound.
want tips for tartin her up spesh **** end its well ugly replaced rear light with clear one looks ok but wanna lose the big black plastick shovel on the rear looks awful and shrink plate + massive num plate light same size as num plate lights on trucks i see em regular as i am a trucker ( no beer belly)
seen some nice tail ends but num plate light is an issue.
spoke to a chap tryin to sell me under tray wiv no numplate option says its ok with out some loophole in mot i'm not convinced if it was the case they wouldnt be fitted would they????

Not sure if this is your yellow, but at that price it'd still be cheap if you had to have it sprayed. Retains the stock number plate light, and has proper visible indicators. Also fits without cutting up any existing parts of the bike unlike most of them, and retains a good luggage space. Not the nicest looking of the undertrays, but the most practical IMO.

The only thing is, it's more fragile than the stock one- I'd recommend using some rubber washers at the fixing points, and more foam under the battery- mine cracked at the front lugs during a bit of unsceduled ofroading, then a while after I went over a big speedbump at a frankly stupid pace with a toolkit, spare battery and chain in the underseat- bang, out the bottom they went :) I think to be fair almost any undertray will be flimsier.

Northwind...Are those wheels anodised or some other finish? They look superb on your bike mate! :wink:
