BIKE BAN BINNED
Taken from tonight's York Evening Press (soory, can't find link!)
"Governemnt transport bosses have told North Yorks motorcylists they have nothing to fear after rubbishing reports that bikers could be banned from the roads. the DfT catagorically ruled out any plans to clamp down on motorcycle use following reports that riders could be banned by 2020. Leading trade newspaper MCN (leading?) claimed that the Gov. was looking at a secret trasnport policy to drive all bikes off the road.... While the gov. concended it had asked York Uni researchers to guage opinion on the policy it had no plans to impliment it.... Researchers at the UK branch of the Stockholm Institute based at the Uni asked interested parties in teh transport inudstry to fill in a questionaire and conduct focus groups but Prof. Whitelegg who led the research said at no stage did the banning of bikes come into the agenda. ...... Your thoughts? |
Least surprising thing ever...
