Got my SV650! - My first impressions
Introductions are over ... and thank you!
http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=28992 Well, I got my first 50 miles on her and I'll tell you what..... This is one HECK of a motorcycle (I know I am preaching to the choir but I am excited!). It is sooooo much fun to ride. This bike is soooo smooth and powerfull too. Maybe its the Yosh RS3 oval that I have on there that gives it extra punch but this puppy pulls pretty darn good and it sounds sooooo sweet. It's light weight and flickable. Its gearing is great. It actually has six speeds and that final gear is great on a flat road at highway speed. My little ole SV just chugs along like its nobodys business in that gear. You can rap it in first and the front wheel will lift. As you go through the gears, it pulls hard and the sound makes people look and cows run in a pasture.... :D . You can keep it in 2nd, or even 3rd, and way slow down to a crawl... then twist the throttle and the bike will pull smoothly without a spirt or sputter. My original thought was to give this bike to my son someday but he may just have to pry it out of my hands to get it. :) I swear that my Suzuki Bandit gave me a nasty look this afternoon when I rolled the SV out of the garage instead of her... kinda sad really. I don't think she has anything to worry about but she will definately be splitting time with my new found love... my SV650! Will somebody pinch me? This is really a great bike and the best 3 grand that I EVER spent on a bike. This bike also has a character of its own, like the bandit, and I really love that! Thanks for letting me express my feelings.... Dave |
