Yet another thing botched by Ken Roberts Motorcycles

HI all,

I think I have expressed my love (NOT!) of Ken Roberts motorcycles in Newport S.Wales recently.

Only to find a new problem,

I asked this total t**t to fit a hugger to my SV before picking her up (after passin my test) Which he did, and charged me handsomely for the pleasure of.
Looking over the bike this weekend with my mucka Nagai, we noticed that the hugger had cracked, not just in one place, but several

So, there I am last night, trying to take the hugger off, an then noticed that the hugger has been on another bike before mine, evidence is quite clear, through drill holes and scratches near the back of the hugger, where he has tried to fit it.
Not onyl that, but this total ********, tightened the hugger to the swing arm that much, it has cracked the hugger, and on the opposite side also.

This bloke is just such a w****r its unreal!

Apologise for the language, but this bloke has gone beyond a joke.

What a *****! :x I've now coem into work this morning in the car :( as the hugger is off, and I know I could have ridden without it today- chances are it's gonna rain, and I'll get splashed with ****e off the road.

Anyhow, gotta go and buy a tube of araldite lunch time, as part of the hugger has completely come away.

I will learn from this...Just stay away from this joker peeps!

Mass out!

apologies again for the language and rant

No wonder I didn't see you this morning!

Soz about the bike, Mass. It's a real bummer when you just can't trust your garage to do a good job. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Rich

I wouldn't touch it any more than you have... so that you can confront him with the evidence.

Hiya Billy and Rich,

Yeah soz Rich, I need to catch up with ye, have that cuppa soon

Billy, mate, I'm passed taking the bike back to this joker to have a look at, been there, done that t-shirt n all. I've made an official complaint about him to Suzuki, but they're generally not interested, as he's selling bikes for them.
So I'm going to get the name of the main man/women for customer service in Suzuki today and write to him/her, I have a long list of things here that :toss: Roberts has done.

List as follows:

*Replaced Tank - with a tank from a K3
*Did not notice Gear selector lose on first service, fell out 2 days later.
* Kept informing me that my warranty was void, for having an after stock exhaust fitted.
* Fitted a Scottoiler not fit for purpose, still on-going.
* Fitted Hugger of a previous bike
* He Ordered wrong crash bungs, I paid for , never got money back

A few little minor things as well here... I could go on...

Suzuki probably won't do a right lot becasue when you buy a bike, the contract is between you & the dealer, not you & the manufacturer :!: However, Trading Standards might, especially if you have evidence of wrong-doing... Try them, especially with that list

again, as i have said before, if you can ever get down to crescent suzuki in bournemouth, then do, they are amazingly good at everything and have never given me any problems at all dispite having had loads of work done there.

Yes just had 15k service with crescent suzuki in bournemouth.Ok some people say there do it cheaper But i found there sevice really good. i rather pay that bit more and have the job done bye the pros who really do have a rep to look after rather then saving a couple quid and having problams later on.

maybe an open letter from the forum members sent to Ken roberts to get all work corrected to a satisfactory standard. if work not done, then the trading standards & suzuki uk will be informed. it might be enough to get the problems rectified.

what do you think ?

Why did you go back to this joker after the second screw up? I'm sorry but if you knew the guy was an incompetent **** then you only have yourself to blame.

There are other motorcycle shops to take your bike to. Just because you've bought a Suzuki does not mean that every single thing you need doing has to be done by a Suzuki dealer. Find one in Bristol or elsewhere if it's so important that only main dealers touch your bike.
