Caught speeding.
 

I got a nip in the post this morning. Would you believe that they got me with a hand held mobile device as I was exiting a 30 Mph speed limit. The place that they were located was a very small section of the A4 that goes through a village.

There is a speed camera at each end of the 30 Mph restriction. The distance between the two cameras is less than a mile and they were situated smack bang in the middle of the two of them within view of both of them.

The sickening part of getting the NIP is that I ALWAYS go through the "danger" zone at 30 and only accelerate away as I approach the end of the limit. The limit for the rest of the route is 50 Mph. I was less than 20 feet away from the end of restriction sign. Oh and I got caught at 40 Mph.

Now I know that a rule is a rule and that I broke that rule. But would you not be a bit miffed if you had got the NIP ? Personally I think I was well out of the danger area, well past the last junction on to the road. Personally I feel rather hard done by on this particular occasion.

I think given your extreme fortune in previous speeding escapades you'd just take this one as it is. 40 in a 30 isnt drastic unlike 115 up the slip road :wink: :lol: :lol:

swings and roundabouts Si. youve had some extreme luck, you knew one day it would run out. so Id just accept this as being the one that got you. better this than the others methinks. :D

I understand youre being miffed, but as said any of the others you would be looking at a ban rather than a small one that this will be.

have to say that if you knew they were there why didn't you wait the extra 20 feet before twisting the wrist. I'm assuming from what you have written that you did know they were there?

I didn't know they were there. I do however know that I make sure that when I enter the zone I am doing 30Mph. I do this speed all the way through the zone until I am about to exit said zone. With this knowledge I KNOW exactly where I was when they caught me.

Unlucky mate but it not done till the large boned lady sings :P .

I know of someone who got stopped and never got summoned .Presumed lost in the system :wink: . Be good now.
