Showboating

The "standing on bike" thread in the photo's section got me thinking.
Do you "showboat" on the road and is it ok to do?

I don't mean standing on your bike or riding with no hands but lean further into corners than you "have to" or getting your knee down or taking corners etc with a bit more "flare" than is strictly neccesary :)
Even revving the enginge at the lights or backfiring the engine.

I try to get the bike over as far as possable any chance I get for the practice Smile and like to try to keep it running in a gear that has the bike making a nice roar :D

Oh yes think we're all guilty of this one, my fav at the moment is getting the overrun popping away as I gio past bus stops on my waqy to work. Apprently managed to get a short blue flames coming out of the can

hell we all do it, just changing/moding your bike is a form of showboating, i do showboat but not so much on the road, more on my bike. ie my akrapovic exhaust & my xring gold chain & sprockets.

  I used to have a couple of "fanettes" at a bustop near St Albans when that was our main office as I would fly past at 100 odd mph every morning.
Sadly we've moved and I'm far to sensable due to fear of being banned again to do that anymore :(
It was hard to tell at that speed but I think they were cute...and female

Trying to get my knee down is proving to be a nightmare, in leathers with knee sliders i can hover it about an inch above floor and it won't go no more but i've got about 3 mill of the floor in my textiles and realised it'd just tear a hole in them  before backing off a bit.

Thing is i have just wrecked a pair of toe slider's cos i keep grounding out on the roundabouts..... 8) am i just not sticking my knee out far enough ??

Since i've fitted my blueflame high level i can't stop making the bike growl and bang

Maybe not getting your **** and knee out enough :D
Just don't push yourself further than you feel comforatble :)

Never felt uncomfortable doing it, it's getting to be TOO easy to get down in textiles....but leathers are proving to be a problem...maybe my lickle legs wont stretch as far out in leathers.

I WILL SCRAPE MY SLIDERS
even if it is with a belt sander Ha Ha Ha
