Heated Grips

What are the best heated grips to get for a Naked SV650 and are they easy to install?

Is it better to get heated grips rather than heated Gloves?

Just thinking of the up and coming winter and I dont really want to stop riding..

Cheers

I got the Oxford Hot Hands wrap arounds. They keep my hands toasty on long midwinter motorway journeys I dont need the bar muffs I thought I would also need.

Upside: easy to fit, simply wrap around and velcro to the bars.

Downside: the extra width takes some getting used to

oh and dont leave them switched on

I got Oxford heated grips and they are fine. Bit harder to install though.

So getting actual grip replacments that heat up would be better then?

Are Oxford the best ones to get?

The oxford ones work well and aren't that much of a pain to fit, though you will need a sharp stanley and a free hour or so.
R&G also do some which look a bit better but only have 2 heat settings. Their control box is more attractive, as well.

if you can make a selkent/soho meet Ill bring them with me and you can try them and see how you get on with them.

for me its ideal. no messing about removing the current grips etc... but then Im not very mechanically minded.

I can't exactly give comparisons with other makes, but I'm dead pleased with my Oxford Hotgrips. I don't like the look or feel of the Hothands ones, though. Pretty easy to fit either, really.

I might just do that..Thx very much!

I've been meaning to come and meat a few like minded people anyway so this just gives me an excuse.

I will bring a friend too (Beefcake) on his SV1000.

Cheers
