chain is clunking
 
my chain is making a grinding noise?????? i have tightened it but it doesnt seem to help. its speed related not revs related? any clues, ideas or tips?. it has been oiled

could be that your chain is worn out, or could be that you rear wheel is not in allignment

Measure the distance from swingarm pivot to rear wheel spindle and make sure it is the same on both sides.
Nod to Northwind for posting that a few months ago,but was it lost in the trans Atlantic travels?

Its good guide i made up a measuring rod with 2 adjusatable pins to align my race bike, but after having my wheels lazer aligned i no longer trust the dstance between centres as it was 5mm out.

mine was clunking really badley, i have just changed it and the noise has gone completly
