Another bloody fine

I received a letter today from Kensington for riding in a bus lane.. I did it, no problem with that, but you should see the picture...

It's on Hyde Park Corner where there are 2 bus lanes side by side, the picture shows 2 buses, both of them in the one and only "normal" lane, and me in the outside of the 2 bus lanes.

 Why do buses get into "our" lanes when they have loads of their own to use??? Another £50 down the drain... Other than me and another bike, the bus lane is empty.... Yet another "stealth" tax....

True

I got two in two weeks  I've asked TFL about the reasons for us not being able to ride in the lanes and they stick to the same silly statment. Motorcycles will hold up the buses  If only Ken did not have his head so far up his..... .

 Yes it was and I was doing it just for the people on the bus that were late and would be even later for work  . As far as I know I've never been able to slow a bus down or get in its way. But if you want I'll give it a go

BTW I think the results of the London bus lane trial should be coming in soon, will see what I can find out about what decision is being made from my 'contacts'...

I think that some results came out last month? :?: I'll have a look but from what I can remember you could see that bike against people, car, truck, etc related crashes were down by a very large percentage with more motorbikes having a safe ride to and from work.
I’m not a voter for Red Ken and think there is very little chance of him letting us use the bus lanes as its easy money for them  But I'd love to be wrong

bus lanes and bus routes differ and where a bus route requires it to cut across then theyve got to use the "normal" lanes as its unlikely they will be able to get on their way if they stuck to the bus lanes. :?:

when I spoke to one of the guys involved in the project about 6 months ago (before the latest data was available) he thought there was a good chance we would be able to, so fingers crossed!

RizlaSV, I agree with what they say they would do when the policy is changed. But the question about when is never put to paper
