Woman cautioned for breast feeding in public....

Dont know if any of you saw this - it made national news...

http://women.timesonline.co.uk/artic...882710,00.html

Quite mad as it happened in the sleepy Norfolk town where I live! Personally it sounds like it has all been blown out of proportion, and if you saw the amount of interferring old biddies in Watton then its not surprising that one of them complained! Personally I think that there is nothing wrong with - providing it is done with some discretion.

Anyway - its a chance for my first poll ever! So discuss - is it right or wrong??

Let's face it - no matter how much us blokes would like to think otherwise - girls have boobs in order to feed babies.

Therefore to breastfeed in public should not be a matter for giggles or reproach but just seen as perfectly natural.

Breast-feeding in public is fine IMO providing it's discreet and with respect to others.

Personally I think the police officer made a bit of a t*t of himself.

Should this quote come with a bushy tail & voice-over saying "Boom-boom" ?? :D

I fail to see a circumstance where there is a genuine reason why a woman should not be allowed to feel comfortable breast feeding in public.

Since when could breasts be considered to be unacceptable in public, anyway?

I used to have a female colleague who once decided to demonstrate
that she could squirt her breast milk from one end of the room to
the other (thankfully, this was during a party and not during a
lecture). As much as I admire the female form I refused to watch
and ran out of the room. But Mrs Professor was forced to observe.

This incident scarred me for life and I am forced to vote "NO".

I also believe that the authorities have boobed in this particular situation. the lady in question is correct in feeling upset at being busted!

I agree perfectly natural but not too much to ask for a little discretion surely? 8)

Personally I think the sight of that would make me  I voted no.

first i've heard of this, then again i've not kept abreast of current affairs.

i'm for the discrete option. dont have a problem with it.
