U.K. Headlight from continental

Hi - I've got a Spanish SV 650 S here on which I need to convert to U.K. spec. headlights for an SVA test.
I've got a U.K. headlight unit but having never owned a bike with twin headlights I'd like confirmation that I should wire the lights so that both main beams are lit when dipswitch is at Hi and both dip beams are lit when on Lo. Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but it's easier to ask before doing the work.
Thanks

Yes, that's the way, all standard UK bikes have both lamps lit simultaneously.

Thanks Sid - wiring project tomorrow night then!

if you are going to change the headlight unit then then one of the plugs are going to be wrong. EU lights have an H7 (if i recall) and H4 while uk have twin H4. So you may have to get another connector or just use spade connector thingis.

Just got the lights working - it would have been a lot easier with the part of the u.k. wiring harness which has the headlight connectors on it. The Spanish set up was left hand lamp is dip beam permanently lit and right hand lamp coming on in addition to this when on main beam. Luckily the changes are only made in the small bit of harness which crosses behind the fairing and I didn't need to dismantle handlebar switches etc.
Anyone out there need a continental dip headlight for an early S?

If you dont find a uk buyer just advertise it on the europe ebay pages.
