I wouldn't, for preference.

As the pads have bedded in on another set of discs, it will likely take a rather extended period before they give anything like full braking on your new ones.

That said it depends on the level of wear on the discs/pads, if they are brand new discs it won't take as long for the pads to wear to the shape of the discs, but then again why put uneven wear on nice new discs?

From my limited knowledge, it is not advisable.

I have always been advised and done so, use old pads on new discs. This beds the discs in better. You can run the risk of glazing the new pads on the new discs. Its worked for me in the past on cars!

As for new discs!! Be warned, although the HH's are great pads, they eat the disc!! I took mine off and used slightly less agressive Carbonne lorraines.

I've always used new pads on new discs. That is what the Discs manucfacturers normally recommend(IIRC) and being told by other people too.

Not sure what the exact reasons are but after spending X amount on a new discs never felt comfortable using old pads.

With Viney with regards to HH pads. I stopped using the EBC pads after one too many problems with them ie warpping , pads sometimes too thick , squealing when they shouldn't be.
It could just be me :) but never had anymore such problems once I changed to a different brand.

I now use Nissin pads almost exclusively on my bikes. Thinking of trying the CL. I've also heard they are less aggresive as Viney says.

Cheers
Ben

If you reuse old pads you must flatten off the pad faces with fine sandpaper to give you 100% face to face surfaces to brake with.
If you dont sandpaper them you risk taking longer to bed them in with poor braking as a result, possibly scoring and ruining your new discs.
As always new pads are best, I think HH isn't it, soft pads, not hard ones like EBC

Devils advocate.

Whats the difference in using New pads with old discs as opposed to old pads and new discs, surely its the same??

Pads are cheaper, I suppose...

Thanks for the replys

I've decided to keep the HH in the front (after cleaning them up as suggested above) as they weren't that old but had glazed over due to the rusting EBC discs, as for the back they were FUBR, so changed them for new

Thanks
