wet weather problems

:D just out of interest, how many of us have had problems with the sv's running in wet conditions? just to prove what ******s work in suzuki who denied there is a problem! :?

No front pot problem here (touch wood). Could be because I fitted a fender extender straight away (about 600 miles in), to help deal with electrical problems I was getting in the wet  :)

Seeing as I have only ridden in the rain a handful of times in 4000 miles of riding (fair weather rider  ) I can defintely say its been fine for me!

I'll get me coat....

Yes twice

both times after riding for about an hour in torrential rain storms, the first time the roads were flooded and in some places, the manhole covers had been lifted off due to the volume / pressure of water

Also there was a lot of standing water elsewhere and mud on the road

Yeah, had that problem, bought a fender extenda. Problem solved!

:D

Not just yet, but there's no option for that. Only 2000 miles so far but that did include a few good downpours. I'm a sceptic though..... waiting for that experience to pounce!

Mine had a fender extender on when I got it and I've never had a problem.

I haven't got a fender extender and no problems as yet.

As per

Fenda-extenda and using the little red extension regular and liberal dose of WD40 up the front righthand drain hole of No1 pot By using the red /black plastic extension you also ensure that the drain itself is kept clear Worked for me 12,000miles and a full winters riding in all sorts of weather

Biker Biggles 08-12-05 07:18 PM

Yes and (I hope) cured by fitting a fender extenda and changing the (rusty) plug. That has done the trick for the last two years.
