Rearset fitting

After my off, I've (finally) got all the bits to fix my bike.

I decided that a broken rear brake pedal necessitated some Gilles rearsets :P It was on my list of things to get anyway, just brought forward by about 6 months :)

Anyway, after looking at the instructions, I just wanted to make sure that I'm going to fit them OK. The german translation on the sheet isn't brilliant, so basically I'm asking, is there anything I should look out for? Or does anyone have a link to a page where there are slightly better instructions?

Take some photos of the current footrests from all angles and use this as a reference.

It won't be hard to change them out. They'll go together better than the original monkey metal ones as well.

watch out for pinging springs and make sure you setup your rear brake light switch properly. Also make sure you adjust the gear shift rod properly so the gears change nicely.

I'd use a bit of loctite on the mounting bolots as well!

Just to add to that , I'll loctite(blue) every bolt that may become undone. ie main mouning bolts , foot pegs bolts and I even put a a bit on the locknut on the shift rod. Basically if it's likely to be an ugly situation if it comes undone it gets the blue loctite treatment.

Cheers
Ben
