Arse grief...
How do I ssort this out without damaging my gear (or the seat)?.
I washed my SPIDI Cordura riding gear in a special two stage process. Wash then waterproof. NikXXX ( I think it was called) is the product and it is designed for this purpose (and it is expensive too). Now I can not keep my **** in one place on the seat  I slip and slide as if on an ice rink. I also fear the waterproofing may have transferred to the seat which wont help the issue at all. Bloody uncomfortable and difficult to ride with this going on. How do I get it off with out wrecking anything ? BTW - I am not even sure what the seat cover is made of ? Ducati S4. |
you need some kind of degreaser, tho i don't know what would be ok to use on a seat :? , if you knew what the seat was made of that would help a lot

Fairy liquid has many uses :)

reminds me of the time i was polishing a mates honda hornet - i used Mr Sheen to finish it and in my stupor i polished his seat nice and shiny...
he was not impressed as he almost went off when going round a very gentle corner! i would use something like a mild vinegar solution with warm water - take care not to get it on the rest of the bike though as it'll corrode. |

How about this... for what its worth
Over on the Ducati Monster Forum a rider has suggested the powder that mountain climbers use for grip. ( Gymnasts use the same stuff but none of them use it on their arses) That sounds cool (and innovative) and he found it worked in a similar situation |

i had the same problem - you need some of this http://www.firstaid4sport.co.uk/Prod...ProductID=2592
there is also a "magic grip spray" but IIRC it leaves a powdery residue. either way, better than the powder. |
