Unable to sell bike with a V5? ummm odd.

Not suspect in the slightest. That's how all the salvage auctions work.

On the other hand I think the bike isn't exactly cheap at that price given the work required and the missing parts.

So will he have a document to give to you to prove that is an official salvage insurance thing? What stops somone claiming in the future (possably) that you bike has a stollen frame and engine?

It'll never go for that - in the middle of winter you can get an intact bike of similar age for not much over a grand.

Cheers Keith

Where have you been hiding? Mine's on a V plate - just. A month earlier would have seen it on a T plate.

not that dodgy but horribley expensive, and you can't even test ride the parts that are still there

probalby would be more worwhile for the owner to strip it and sell the bits

i get the feeling it might stay at o bids!
