Is the clamping force by the one bolt that holds the clipon to the fork tube enough to hold it in place even if you did not have the bolt screwed into the underside of the top yoke.

I would have thought so. You have to remove this bolt if you want to drop Sunriser bars back to the normal height.

Also the original clipons never had this extra bolt in the '70's and 80's, I suspect it's probably a belts and braces approach by the japanese.

Also also. After market clipons and risers rarely have this extra bolt.

Thanks, i did think about that.
Some of the aftermarket stuff has two bolts holding it though and is not made by cost co suzuki.

Just thinking about probably angling the clipons a bit further out as my bike has no fairing at the moment.
