So if some idiot................
............puts GTX magnatec oil in there bike and has problems with the clutch slipping would he have to change the clutch due to contamination?
Just asking as a "friend" has put GTX in his SV  Not me...............honest Planing on changing the oil and filter but have i contaminated my clutch plates? |
Not having done this myself, I can't say whether "your friend" will be fine just putting in the right stuff. It's got to be worth a try.

So if some idiot................
Hey Ash, I had similar issues (clutch slipping) when I put full synthetic oil in my 2000 SV, I just changed the oil back to semi-synthetic and the problem went away withing a few miles, I wouldn't change the clutch, just the oil and oil filter, hope your friend can get this squared off!

Yeah, as said, and use engine flush and run the bike for about 5 mins with it in.
|
Don't bother flushing the engine - just change the oil, it'll be fine in a few miles, or it'll never work properly again.
But that's unlikely, I'm sure it'll be fine. |
